Juanjo Garcia Martin is a Spanish art jeweller. He lives and works in Malaga. His artistic approach combines different disciplines that he has been practicing indinstinctely since an early age: painting, music and art jewellery.
CAPTURING THE SPIRIT OF THE CITY
A self-taught artist, he is not afraid of experimentation, especially in his search for materials, whose diversity is impressive. His last collection of unique pieces, entitled "Mares de Asfalto" explores the theme of the urban environment: the city of course, but also the worlds it shelters, its buildings, streets, towers, inhabitants, all composing endless strata of colours and parallel stories, crossed by the lines and volumes characteristic of urban architecture.
SEE HIS WORKS ?
A newcomer to the contemporary jewellery scene, he now regularly participates in group shows and events dedicated to jewellery (Inhorgenta in 2014 in Munich, Talents in 2015 in Frankfurt, Autor in 2017 in Bucharest). He is a regular contributor to the Moments festival and the digital magazine StafMagazine, both dedicated to pop-alternative culture.
The gallery will show a selection of his works at the occasion of the "Holy Tools!" exhibition, during edition 2017 of the Paris Design Week.
