ABOUT Guillaume Delaperriere, video artist, born in 1974, lives and works in Paris. He earned a degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and joins together in his creations his two modes of artistic expression: music and image. SOUND & VISION He composes original scores from video samples. The video loop is used as a creative impulse, applying the rules of musical rhythm to the sampling of images. The time-line of video editing is cut into four beat bars. The narration is articulated like a musical score and allows the viewer to watch the music and listen to the images.  With a broad variety of sources, from found footage (Drums Unlimited, Mondovision) to documentary (Lisboa Orchestra, Dharavi Orchestra, Opera Duet) to images created in the studio (My Silver Spoon, Little Drama), he captures sound and image simultaneously from a musical standpoint in order to tell hypnotic sound tales.   SEE HIS WORKS His creations are projected onto multi-screen installations as audiovisual performances.
