Annette Dam

1972, Copenhagen, Denmark

Annette Dam studied jewellery design and metalsmithing from 1994 to 1999 at the National Academy of Arts in Oslo, Norway. She completed her training in 2016 with a degree in art history and museology from the University of Copenhagen. Today she lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark, and leads a dual career as an artist and curator, coordinating exhibitions worldwide alongside her accomplice Marie-Louise Kristensen, with whom she founded Art Jewellery Copenhagen in 2017.

Annette Dam’s work has been rewarded with several grants from the Danish Arts Foundation and regular selections in Schmuck’s annual exhibition in Munich. Her work can be found in private and public collections, including the Skt. Loye Collection in Copenhagen, The Jewellery Box of the Danish Arts Foundation, the Design Museum Denmark, the Newark Museum, USA, the Musée du bijou contemporain in Cagnes sur Mer, France and the National Museum in Norway.
