Peter Machata

1971, Nové Zámky, Slovakia

After graduating from the Bratislava School of Applied Arts in 1991, he studied sculpture at the Bratislava Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of Professor Jankovič, becoming his assistant between 2000 and 2003 at the AFAD Research Center in Bratislava. Since 2003, he has been working at the AFAD Research Center in Bratislava, in the Digital Technologies Department. Since 1992, he has regularly taken part in international exhibitions, and has initiated numerous symposia on contemporary jewellery and sculpture in his own country. Peter Machata lives and works in Stupava (SK).
