1956, Richmond | 1955, Christiansburg, Virginia, Unites States

Robin Kranitzky and Kim Overstreet began their artistic collaboration in 1985 with a common project revolving around ceramics. To raise funds and finance the purchase of a kiln, they began creating mixed-media jewelry. The unexpected success of this project launched their first collaborative venture, the Lost & Found studio. Today, their work has gained international recognition and can be found in the permanent collections of the most prestigious museums in the United States and Europe: the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; the Museum of Art, Philadelphia; the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Arts and Design, New York; the National Museum of Contemporary American Craft; the Design Museum, Helsinki, Finland; the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich, Germany; and the Stedelijk Museum s’-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. Robin and Kim regularly take part in major exhibitions in the United States and Europe, and their work appears in numerous publications. The Kranitzky & Overstreet studio is now located in Richmond, Virginia, USA.
